Louis Ramirez

Coach: Boys U-12

 

Luis Ramirez is a Harvard educated retired economist, native of Chile, who played College soccer in his country and continues to be active playing for the New England Over-the-Hill Soccer League. He coached many amateur teams while he was teaching economics at Boston University (1975-85) and working for the World Bank (1985-2000). He has been coaching soccer for Brookline and Maple boy teams since he retired from the World Bank in 2000. He currently coaches the JV team at Gann Academy and the BU-12 team at Inter Boston FC. He holds a USSF National B Coaching License and several professional development certificates from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Some of his recent accomplishments as a soccer coach include an undefeated season with the freshman team at Brookline High School (2004), several first place endings with the Brookline Boys u-14 first division team (2000-05), a second place with the Brookline team at the 2004 Framingham Memorial Day Sportsmanship Classic, first place with the Boys U-13 Stars team at the Amherst Memorial Day Classic (2005), second place with the Boys U-13 Inter Bandits at the Inter Bandits Memorial Day (2006), first place with the Boys u-13 Inter Bandits at the Nashua World Cup Columbus Day tournament (2006), second place with the Boys U-13 Inter Bandits during the Spring 2007 season of the Maple Soccer League and first place with the U-14 team of Inter Boston at the U-15 Division of the Match Fit Academy FC Spring 2008 Invitational tournament.
