INTER Philosophy

Inter SC Boston is dedicated to developing skilled, competitive soccer players with an advanced knowledge and a real love of the game. The focus is not only on the player's current level of skill and talent, but more importantly on development of the player to their highest potential. To realize these goals, we offer superior coaching, high level competition, and a supportive Club network.

Training hard, setting individual as well as team goals, improving skills, understanding the rules of the game, being a reliable teammate; these are the expectations the Club has of its players. In return the Club sets a priority on offering first rate instruction from professional coaches dedicated to enhancing individual skills and creating a team approach to the game. Meeting these mutual commitments is hard work for all involved. When it is consistently pursued with a sense of joy and pleasure, winning is simply the natural consequence of effort.

History

In October of 2002, Bandits SC and Inter SC Boston entered into an affiliation to increase the opportunities for players in both clubs. Continued focus on developing younger age groups individual skills and consistently showcasing our older age groups for high school and college opportunities, will remain the core curriculum of this new enterprise. Combined with MAPLE and State Cup participation, additional opportunities for play in the Director's summer league, Director's League, Northeast Premier League, and participation in US Club Soccer National tournaments, will truly make being a member of the Inter SC Boston/Bandits SC family a fully developed soccer experience.

Inter SC Boston
The Spirit of Massachusetts Soccer Club was founded in 1989 for girls and boys teams. The club was formed by ten soccer coaches and parents who were interested in seeing the level of youth soccer rise in Massachusetts. The club began with nine boys and girls teams in 1989, and grew to 19 teams by 1991. In the summer of 1991, the club officially split into two separate and distinct organizations, (Spirit of Mass Boys and Spirit of Mass Girls SC). In 2001, Spirit of Mass Boys SC reorganized. A working relationship was developed with F. C. Inter of Milan Italy and the club was renamed Inter SC Boston. In the short span of two years, Inter SC Boston has six state championships, placed many players on the State and Regional Olympic Development Program, and has assisted many players in getting admittance to private middle/high school and college programs, (many with scholarships).

Bandits S.C.
Established in 1983 by Chris Murphy, Bandits SC was a founding member of the NCCL league in 1985. The club has enjoyed numerous state championships with the most recent one being the Bandits Girls U15 team in the Spring of 2002. The girls also finished as Regional Finalists. The club has developed many State and Regional players. Recently they held a "College Day" and had six colleges coaches and 100 players/parents attend what is now an annual event. The club has also run the very successful "Bandits Cup" for over three years and have seen it grow to over 150 participating teams.
